2016 Holiday at the Four Seasons

The Hillsborough Bailliage celebrated the Holidays with a dinner in the Ravenswood Room at Four Seasons Palo Alto on December 3, 2016.  The Four Seasons Palo Alto is a luxury hotel located in the heart of Silicon Valley, the capital of high tech. The evening was organized by our Gastronique Peter Pawlick. 

Festivities began with a reception around tapas tables where delicious hors d’oeurves were passed and Schramsberg Blanc de Noir was poured. This provided time for members in their holiday finery to enjoy each other’s company.

We were seated at round tables decorated with holiday center pieces. Bailli Lois Gogol welcomed everyone.  A delicious four-course dinner was prepared by Chef de Cuisine Martin Morelli, originally from Montevideo, the arts and culture capital of Uruguay, and who is known for his innovative menus.  His creativity has led him through various kitchens in South, Central and  North America.

We were pleased to listen to Chef Morelli as he told us some of his background and discussed the evening’s menu. V.Eschanson Bruce Bastl told how the evening’s wine was paired with the courses, plus describing the areas where the wine was produced.

Bailli Lois Gogol presented Chef de Cuisine Morelli with a La Chaine plaque in appreciation for his culinary creations for the evening.  It was a great evening of camaraderie to begin the Holiday Season!
